CD Replication
Our replicated CDs are second to none. CD replication (often
called 'pressing' or 'moulding') is the original and traditional
method of manufacturing CDs. Raw materials enter a large CD
moulding machine and the basic CD is created first. The data or
audio information is physically stamped onto the CD during this
process. The label is then printed directly onto the CD and the
CD is finished off with protective layers, etc. This method of
manufacturing CDs requires that a minimum of 500 units be
pressed. Because of the amount of time and materials involved in
setting up each replication run, it is not cost efficient to
produce less. (We provide a CD duplication service for 1 to 500
CDs. See
CD Duplication.)
It generally takes around 8-10 business days to create a
finished product from your CD master. This includes pressing the
CDs, printing on the CD, printing of the insert materials and
packaging.
